The foundation of EUPPA reacts to the high demand for a compact qualification and certification in Positive Psychology, with focus on the social and professional field. EUPPA certifies highly practicable Positive Psychology trainings with scientific background. The European Positive Psychology Academy defines itself as an open network of all institutions and persons, who fulfill the guidelines for registration as a certified practitioner, basic trainer and master trainer. To fulfill this aim EUPPA cooperates with Seligman Europe and the Austrian Positive Psychology Association (APPA). EUPPA has friendly connections to the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA).

Certification

The EUPPA certified trainings of Positive Psychology are open to everybody. The only requirement is experience in mindful approach to people as well as an ethical attitude, which focuses on cooperation with and appreciation of people.

EUPPA certifies three degrees:

Basic Curriculum – Learn and Live it

In this 10-days Basic Training (2×3, 1×4 days) you will learn the theoretical and applied basics of Positive Psychology and how to use them in a private and professional field. The completion of this Basic Curriculum allows to use Positive Psychology in your private and professional life.

Duration in units:

  • 100 units course
  • 20 units selfstudy
  • 20 units peergroup
  • 8 units accompanying group coaching
  • Overall: 148 units

 

EUPPA certification: Practitioner of Positive Psychology

Advanced Curriculum – Learn to teach it

In this 6-days Advanced Training you get to know the most important application areas of Positive Psychology such as Positive Education, Positive Health, Positive Leadership, Positive Coaching and Positive Psychotherapy. Your knowledge will be enhanced through practical exercises. After the completion you will be enabled to teach Positive Psychology by yourself as a Basic Trainer (Example of an EUPPA certified Advanced Curriculum).

Duration in units:

  • 60 units course
  • 20 units working on a case
  • 10 units peergroup
  • 4 units accompanying group coaching
  • Overall: 94 units

EUPPA certification: Basic Trainer of Positive Psychology

Master Training

In this 4-days Master Training you learn basics of scientific working, Positive Group-Teaching and Positive Presentation. You will also get an update of recent findings of Positive Psychology.

Duration in units:

  • 40 units course
  • 20 units development of a training program
  • 8 units supervision
  • Overall: 68 units

Certification Guidelines

Basic Curriculum:

  • Attendance at the training modules
  • 15 hours of peer-group work
  • Elaboration of a personal project
  • Presentation and short written summary of the personal project
  • Assessment by an EUPPA certified assessor

Advanced Curriculum:

  • Completion of the Basic Curriculum or an equal training
  • Attendance at the training modules
  • Documentation and short presentation of two practical cases
  • Assessment by an EUPPA certified assessor

Master Curriculum:

  • Completion of the Basic and Advanced Curriculum or equal trainings
  • Attendance at the training modules
  • Developing a detailed Positive Psychology training concept
  • Short presentation and paper of the Positive Psychology training concept
  • Assessment by an EUPPA certified assessor
  • Teaching experience of at least 150 hours within the last 5 years
  • 5 hours supervision through an EUPPA certified Teaching Trainer or equal
